Dr. Connie Collura
Dr. Connie Collura grew up in New Hyde Park, the youngest of four children. She started working in dental offices at the young age of fifteen. She immediately knew this was her calling and where she belonged! With encouragement from her entire family especially her mom, a dental hygienist, and brother, an endodontist, her journey began!
She continued learning every aspect of patient care by working not only in a general dental office, but in many specialist offices all the years that followed throughout high school, college, and dental school. Dr. Collura also reinforced her love for this profession by volunteering at the Long Island Jewish dental clinic.
Dr. Collura was honored with a scholastic scholarship to Adelphi University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology in 1991. Dr. Collura then proceeded to attend The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She graduated with honors from dental school in 1995 earning her DMD degree. Many scholastic and character awards were bestowed upon her at graduation.
Dr. Collura chose to even further continue to perfect her skills by attending a comprehensive two-year dental residency program at Nassau University Medical Center. Upon completing her first year she was selected to serve as the Chief Resident the following year.
In 1997 Dr. Collura opened her private practice in Bethpage. For the past 20 years she has had the joy of providing quality dental care in a kind and caring manner to so many amazing families and is looking forward to many more years of such enjoyment.
Dr. Collura is an active member of the Nassau County Dental Society, New York State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Collura is blessed with a loving husband and two wonderful children. Spending time with family and friends means the world to her. She can frequently be found baking delicious treats as well as tasty meals for all to sit down together and share in her home. Dr. Collura’s favorite getaway is spending time down by the shores of Long Island.
Dr. Collura keeps her energy up by exercising daily. She loves power walking, weight lifting, and most of all mixed martial arts!
