Dr. Eric B. Fisher
Dr. Eric B. Fisher began practicing dentistry in 1984 after receiving his D.D.S from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Fisher graduated with honors, interned at St. Lukes Hospital in the Oral Surgery Department, and went on to train for two years in practices devoted to fixed prosthodontics.
In 1986, Dr. Fisher opened a private practice in Manhattan where he began his solo career. In 1988, Dr. Fisher opened another location in Plainview, NY where he settled and began devoting himself to a full-time practice the following year. Since then, Dr. Fisher has moved to his present state-of-the-art location at 545 Old Country Road in Plainview.
Dr. Fisher has kept abreast of the latest innovations in Dentistry. Beginning in 1991 he received clinical certification at the Dr. Robert Mathys Foundation for Osseo-Integrated Implants and at the ITI Strauman Institute for Dental Osseo-Integrated Implants. He spent three years teaching at SUNY Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine and two years teaching at NYU College of Dentistry. In addition, he has taught several seminars on implant Dentistry at the Glen Cove Study Club and at the Greater Long Island Dental Meetings. Dr. Fisher has served as a consultant to the ITI/Strauman Institute, an internationally renown implant company and research institute. Most recently in 2018, a Fellowship was conferred to Dr. Fisher by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists at Columbia University.
Additionally, in maintaining a state-of-the-art facility Dr. Fisher has introduced all of the latest technology into his practice of dentistry. These include a Master’s in Laser Dentistry. He is a participating member in the Long Island Team Implantology Society, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and certified in the state mandated license course. Dr. Fisher has also been certified and passed the standard proficiency program sponsored by the American Academy of Laser Dentistry and is a member of the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Fisher is also a life member of the Institute Strauman, an international group of researchers devoted to enhancing the success of implant dentistry and a leader in dental implant research.
Although there are many accomplishments that Dr. Fisher has had in his life he is most proud of the quality of Dentistry that he has brought to his patients and for the pleasant atmosphere he has created in his office.
