Dr. Martin Gottlieb
Dr. Gottlieb is a general dentist with areas of specialty in cosmetic dentistry and intravenous sedation. He’s also a dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker who’s been a respected member of the Tribeca and Lower Manhattan community for more than 30 years. He’s always maintained a holistic approach to dentistry, with a focus on alleviating fear and managing pain. He also studied hypnosis and was one of the first credentialed acupuncturists in New York State.
Dr. Gottlieb has been in private practice since 1975. Prior to that, he achieved his BS in Chemistry at Brooklyn College, earned his DDS at Temple University College of Dentistry, and then did his residency in Anesthesia and Dentistry at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn.
He went on to teach at both his alma mater, Kingsbrook, and at NYU, where he was a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis. Dr. Gottlieb has published articles in Anesthesia Progress Magazine, is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and a member of professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the New York State and County Dental Societies.
He lives in Tribeca with his wife and their daughter. Dr. Gottlieb is an avid fan of music, and his enduring hobby is participatory sports. He’s been playing on weekends for 30 years, and is currently coaching an adult league fast-pitch softball team. Dr. Gottlieb speaks German and Hebrew.
