Dr. Robert Emilio
Dr. Robert Emilio did his undergraduate work in the advanced program at Brooklyn College and moved straight into dental school at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He graduated in 1994 and served his general practice residency at Kings County Hospital Center in 1995. From 1991 to 2001, he served an implantology, surgical and prosthetic residency at the New York University College of Dentistry. He has been practicing here since 1997.
Dr. Emilio constantly updates his skills and learns about the latest advances in dental technology through continuing education. He has traveled across the U.S., Germany, Canada and as far as Istanbul to expand his knowledge, and he has advanced training in surgical and prosthetic dentistry and implantology. He is a Master in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is trained in CEREC and Invisalign® clear aligners. He is also a member of the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Emilio finds his greatest level of happiness in seeing other people happy, and he loves helping others find their smiles with help from a fabulous, selfless team that is here to serve. With that in mind, his goal as a dentist is to create an environment in his practice that can help our patients achieve their smile dreams, and which will, in turn, bring more patients to the practice to receive care. He sees this as a continuing cycle of care. He loves coming into the office — a Greater Source has put him here for this job, and he never plans to retire.
Dr. Emilio met his wife at age 19 and married her in 1992. She is a former schoolteacher and a homemaker. They have two creative children. Their son, Chase, is a graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design. He is working out west as an artist on some of the latest video games. Chloe, their daughter, is majoring in fashion design at Marist College.
In his free time, Dr. Emilio enjoys reading biographies, science fiction and books about astrophysics. He also enjoys cutting his lawn, weight training, traveling, and getting out of the house for skiing and target shooting. He is also a PADI-certified scuba diver. He is a fan of anything car-related, including Formula One and amateur Porsche and BMW racing.
