Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Stephen Scotto-Lavino attended Baruch College CUNY for his undergraduate education, graduating in 1978. He then went on to study at New York University College of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school in 1982, he went into private practice, and he’s been practicing dentistry in Selden, NY for over 30 years.
Dr. Scotto-Lavino is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Suffolk County Dental Society. He’s also on staff at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and John T. Mather Memorial Hospital. From 2009 to 2010, he was the Director of Dentistry at St. Charles Hospital. His favorite thing about practicing dentistry is seeing the smile on a patient’s face when the patient is happy and relieved of pain.
Dr. Scotto-Lavino and his wife, Maria, have three adult children, and he enjoys reading, golf, and football.
