Dr. Vincent Cafarelli Jr.

Dr. Vincent Cafarelli Jr. was born into a dental family, his father a dentist and his mother a dental receptionist and assistant. After graduating from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science, Dr. Cafarelli knew he wanted to work in health care. He attended Manhattan College in the Bronx and achieved a B.S. in Biology/Pre-Med. During this time he visited his father’s office often as well as the offices of other dentists to observe and decide whether dentistry was the right fit for him. Dr. Cafarelli applied and was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine.
After graduating from University of Pennsylvania in 2001 with his DMD, Dr. Cafarelli chose to spend the next year as a Resident at the Montefiore Medical Center department of Dentistry to advance his skills. During his time at Montefiore, Dr. Cafarelli was introduced to sedation dentistry and found a passion for dental surgery and implants. He then returned to Montefiore in 2004 to complete course work required to achieve a NYS License to perform IV sedation, and now holds both a NYS license in Dentistry and Parenteral (IV) sedation.
To further his knowledge in implant placement, in 2003, Dr. Cafarelli attended multiple courses at the Nobel Biocare implant facility in Mahwah, NJ to learn the latest techniques in implant placement. He now regularly attends continuing education courses to stay on top of the rapid advances in Dentistry. Dr. Cafarelli is a member of the American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Association and The Ninth District Dental Association.
In his free time Dr. Cafarelli enjoys snowboarding and spending time with his daughters Gianna and Mackenzie.
