USA Today: How COVID-19 Has Affected Dental Health

USA Today spoke to several dental experts about the overall effects of COVID-19 on dental health, including an increase in the number of patients coming for emergency dental visits due to cracked teeth, most likely caused by the stress of the pandemic. In addition, many patients have delayed their visits, even when in pain. Dr. Fleischer told USA Today, “With dentistry, things only get worse.” As time goes on, dental fixes usually become more expensive, and the damages more permanent—which is exactly why it is important that patients do not push back their appointments.
